This is my very first post...wonder if anybody will read it? I've been enjoying lifestyle blogs for awhile now, and think maybe there is room for one from an older lady, married 47 years (to the same man) with three grown children, four (soon to be five) grandchildren. This "older" lady loves anything to do with making art, doing crafts, decorating, and trying to garden. I also love to read and get together informally with family and friends. I have a 12-year-old Border Collie named for a Scottish queen and called informally Anna, and a 1-year-old pastel calico kitten named Sassy because...she is!
I live in a wonderful part of the country, the Ozark mountains in Southern Missouri. Originally from the coast of Virginia/North Carolina, and after living 31 years in St. Louis, Missouri, my husband and I moved here to our "empty nest." We didn't know how we'd adjust, but we love the beauty, privacy, and simplicity our life has now. I do go back to the Outer Banks once a year for a month, and that seems to satisfy something in my psyche that yearns for the ocean.
